As a dyslexic artist grappling with dyscalculia, he held a deep fascination for those who embraced numbers to make the world better. The artist was drawn to outsiders, those who struggled to fit within societal norms.
The under-recognized genius of Alan Mathison Turing and his invaluable contributions to mathematics and computer science were overshadowed by the persecution he faced for his sexuality, leading to his ostracization within his field.
Despite enduring such hardships, Turing's immeasurable contributions to ending World War 2 and shaping modern computing were undeniable. Using his signature technique, the artist layered acrylic with spray paint, allowing him to add and remove layers playfully.
A stencil layer was added as Turing's face materialized amidst a haze of numbers. The artist perceived his piece as a compelling metaphor for Turing's life - a figure surrounded by numbers, making a significant impact on the world yet remaining invisible in many ways, unable to reveal his true self.
